Priority Lender Selection: We believe this to be unique to Loanspronto - If you select a lender as your "Priority Lender", we will treat them as such. Your application will be assessed against the criteria of this lender and if it matches, then we will endeavour to get your application accepted by this lender first before we attempt any other avenues. If however your application fails to meet the criteria assessment or if we make the application and it is refused by the Priority Lender, then our system will automatically endeavour to find an alternative Lender for you. The principles upon which we undertake this match are as follows: Based upon the desired term of the loan we will assess lenders in ascending order of Typical APR. Aiming to get you the lowest APR that we can. In the event that we are unable to match you in this way we shall look to lower the term of the loan to see if a shorter term loan provider is available for your needs.

DISCLAIMER (*): high-cost short-term credit - The Financial Conduct Authority has brought in a price cap on loans with an annual percentage rate (APR) which is equal to or exceeds 100% and is due to be substantially repaid within a maximum period of 12 months

The price cap ensures that interest and fees charged must not exceed 0.8% per day of the amount borrowed plus a £15 cap on default fees – if borrowers default, fees must not exceed £15. Firms can continue to charge interest after default but not above the initial rate; and with a total cost cap of 100% the amount borrowed. This ensures that borrowers never pay more in fees and interest than 100% of what they borrowed.

Failure to pay can have much wider consequences including damage to your credit score, CCJ's, Bankruptcy and Stress related to debt recovery practices. Think long and hard before taking out such a loan and never do so if you don't reasonably expect to be able to make the repayments.
